Today has been a long day. We started with some breakfast and then off to the doctors office. After an ultrasound and some discussion with the doctor, we decided that today was the day. The doctor gave us the option of today, Tuesday, September 15, 2009 or wait until Thursday. Seeing as we had not seen much change, we decided to go ahead with today.

We got to the hospital around 1100. Jamie was then hooked up to fetal monitors. These checked her vitals, and Alexis’ heart rate. I left to go grab a few things and was gone from about 1330 until 1445. Around 1500 another lady who was in labor joined us in the observation room. It was interesting to hear what she had to say about her experiences. More than anything it confirmed that we made a good decision changing OBs.

After waiting some more we were placed in a labor and delivery room just after 2000. It took some time once we were in the labor and delivery room but they started the pitocin. Now we wait. We are both going to try and rest as the pitocin does its thing. More updates to follow.
